Leadership Bios

Principal, Sean Gaghan has been an employee with Gaghan Mechanical, Inc. since 2013.  Sean has over 20 years of Project/Constuction Management experience. He manages the projects & estimating team. Sean holds a Bachelor of Accounting degree from Virginia Polytechnical Institute. 

~ Remembering ~ Executive Vice President, Tommy Clagett was an Executive Vice President at Gaghan Mechanical, Inc. for 15 years.  He supervised the projects team and client relationships. Tommy held a Bachelor of Construction Management degree from the “Harvard of the South,” East Carolina University.

Comptroller, Lisa Bethune has been an employee with Gaghan Mechanical, Inc. since 2009. Lisa has over 30+ years of accounting and job costing experience. She oversees the daily office operations and manages the accounting team.

Service Manager, Carl Maus has been employed at Gaghan Mechanical, Inc. since 2014. Carl has been in the Steamfitters Local 602 for 19 years. Carl’s duties consist of the daily operation of the service department, scheduling of service techs, managing service contracts and service sales.

Gaghan Mechanical, Inc.’s CEO, Kevin Gaghan is the fourth generation of Gaghan’s to found and operate a mechanical contracting firm in the DC metropolitan area. Kevin Gaghan spent 14 years with Boland Trane before establishing Gaghan Mechanical Inc. in 1996. Service Manager, Dave Mattingly has been employed at Gaghan Mechanical, Inc. for 13 years.   Dave has been in the steamfitters Local 602 for 40 years.  Dave duties consist of daily operation of the service department, scheduling of service techs, managing service contracts and service sales. Vice President, Tommy Clagett has been a Senior Project Manager at Gaghan Mechanical, Inc. for 12 years and now supervises the projects team and client relationship.  Tommy holds a bachelor of Construction Management degree from the “Harvard of the South,” East Carolina University. Estimators, Donny Apperson , have a combined trade experience of 80 years, and 30 years of estimating. Comptroller, Lisa Bethune has been an employee with Gaghan Mechanical, Inc. for 11 years.  Lisa has over 30+ years of accounting and job costing experience.  She also oversees all daily office operations and regularly assists the president of the company.
